Ogopogo Media Inc. acquires BC Network

BC Tourism portal network purchased for $400,000

Kelowna, BC, May 6, 2008 -  Ogopogo Media Inc. announced today that it has acquired all the shares of 536187 BC Inc., operating as BC Network. The all cash deal with Michael Gilgan of Kamloops was for $400,000 CDN. BC Network has operated city, regional and tourism related websites for the past 9 years.

"The BC Network is an important strategic purchase for Ogopogo Media. Among the 47 Internet properties included in the purchase are Kamloops.com, Nanaimo.com, Osoyoos.com, Revelstoke.com and many other British Columbia related properties." says Robert Montgomery, CEO and co-founder of Ogopogo. "The prior purchase of Kelowna.com, Vernon.com and Penticton.com had already set the stage for Ogopogo to acquire a significant percentage of the advertising dollars available within BC's highly lucrative Okanagan Valley. This acquisition provides us an existing advertiser customer base as well as extending our reach to other lucrative tourism locales such as Nanaimo, Revelstoke and Kamloops."

"Initially we will take a few weeks to absorb our acquisition and then move headlong into a total redesign of the entire network of properties." commented Ogopogo President, Shaun Pilfold. "Phase one of the rollout will target tourism related information such as accommodations, restaurants and attractions, while phase two will broaden the portal's scope to include information for local residents and businesses."

Ogopogo Media plans to work closely with local BC Chambers of Commerce and Tourism Boards to help achieve our common objective of marketing British Columbia to the world.
